Vanden Brink Lab Presents at APS 2025

Earlier this year, lab members Ellie Goen, Savli Patel, and Erlinda Pena traveled with Dr. Vanden Brink to the American Physiological Society (APS) Annual Summit held in Baltimore, MD on April 24-27, 2025. APS members are interested in advancing our understanding of life and health and lead to treatment of various diseases and conditions.

At this conference, Ellie, Savli, and Erlinda’s abstracts were accepted to be presented as posters. Ellie and Salvi presented their COALS projects, titled “Impact of Meal Timing on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Risk during Adolescence” and “Disrupted Sleep Behaviors are Associated with PCOS Risk in Post-Menarcheal Adolescents” respectively. Erlinda presented work from her research with the lab in a poster titled, “Acanthosis Nigricans and PCOS Symptomology in Hispanic Adolescents Living in Texas” using preliminary data from our NORAH study. These abstracts can be found in the APS Annual Meeting journal, Volume 40, Issue S1 here → https://journals.physiology.org/toc/physiologyonline/40/S1

Congratulations to Ellie, Savli, and Erlinda on a successful presentation!
