Vanden Brink Lab presents at AE-PCOS 2025

In October, members of the Vanden Brink Lab traveled to San Antonio, TX for the 2025 Annual meeting of the Androgen Excess & Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (AE-PCOS). AE-PCOS is an international organization dedicated to promoting the generation and dissemination of knowledge related to all aspects of Androgen Excess Disorders.
At this meeting, several lab trainees presented their work as listed below
Joelle Sfeir, PhD candidate, presented her work on Dietary Intake, Food Insecurity and Symptoms of PCOS among Hispanic Adolescents in South Texas.
Amber Chang, PhD student, presented her work titled, Lipid Indices and Ratio in Post-Menarcheal Hispanic Adolescents vary by PCOS Status and Gynecological Age.
Hannah Lamar, PhD student, presented her work on Dietary Fat and Fiber Intake, Bile Acid Isoforms, and Emergence of PCOS in Post-Menarcheal Adolescents.
Erlinda Pena, Research Assistant, presented her work titled, Acanthosis Nigricans and Risk of PCOS Among Hispanic Adolescents Living in Texas.
Dr. Heidi Vanden Brink served as a chair and poster judge at this conference.
